They declared "punk is dead" as early as February 6th, 1977, before most people were even aware that it had been born

Yes, I remember IT. I tried selling it once, on the streets of Notting Hill, back in the late 1970s. I bought a batch of copies for 25p each, I believe, and sold them to the public for 50p.

I'm not sure if the capitalist ethic was approved of, but that was the price they told me to charge. In fact, it was bloody hard work, so I never did it again (note the sheer absence of the work-ethic there - compensating for the proto-capitalism!).
